Today marks the beginning of Sexual Violence Awareness Week.
We would like to recognize the necessity to be able to support anyone who has experienced any form of sexual violence in their personal or professional life regardless of when it happened. We need to take good care of ourselves, but we can also support each other. It may be hard but if you are looking for support after experiencing sexual violence you can reach out to:

VPE has recently, decided young families would be our next venture and since we like to cover all areas in our region with a different project, we contacted the facilitator for the Family Resource Centre in Arnold's Cove, Come By Chance and Southwest Arm to help us. Our latest project is a Safe Child/Book Bag that will be given to children who are leaving the FRC programming and attending school in the fall. Ability Employments Safe Space (larger version)
VPE is so happy to announce our partnership with Ability Employment to create a Safe Space for the use of their clients while attending their programs. We would like to thank Canadian Women's Foundation for providing VPE with grant funding that allow VPE to fund this Safe Space for Clients at Ability Employment.

Heart Of Gold Kit Bags (larger version)
VPE has done up some "Heart of Gold"kit bags for our seniors in recognition of World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. During this difficult time with Covid 19, VPE recognizes it's not always easy to get out to get necessities. If you know of a senior in need please reach out to us so we can provide one of these kit bags. They are limited. We would like to thank Canadian Women's Foundation in providing us grant funding to make these kit bags possible.
